The Ford Bronco Sport is a compact crossover SUV with an enormous penchant for exploration and discovery. Featuring a terrain management system, rugged design, and plenty of room for up to five people, the Bronco Sport is ready to hit the trail.
Performance
The Ford Bronco Sport features a standard 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine that produces 181 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque. An alternative 2.0L EcoBoost engine, exclusive to the Badlands trim, generates 250 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque instead. Both engines feature an eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive capabilities, but the 2.0-liter engine increases the maximum towing capacity from 2,000 to 2,200 pounds. Five drive modes enable Aurora drivers to tackle various road conditions, including Standard, Sport, Sand, Slippery, and Eco.
Interior and Exterior
With its durable outdoor design and body-color safari-style roof, the Ford Bronco Sport boasts a range of valuable features, including a manual liftgate, configurable daytime running lights, heated black finish side mirrors, roof rack side rails, second-row privacy glass, and carbonized gray grille with white Bronco lettering and active grille shutters for enhanced aerodynamics. The interior features automatic electronic temperature control, cloth front bucket seats, a rubberized cargo floor, a six-way manual driver's seat, and a four-way manual passenger seat. When rear seats are folded down, it can store up to 65.2 cubic feet of cargo with cargo tie-down carabiner hooks and loops. Additional storage can be found under the seats and within storage pockets behind the seats.
Technology
The center dashboard of the Bronco Sport features an 8-inch touch-screen display with enhanced voice recognition, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. This is complemented with a 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster, six-speaker audio system, dual USB ports, 12-volt power outlet, intelligent access system, and push-button start. Depending on the trim, optional features include a universal garage door opener, power moonroof, wireless charging pad, auto-dimming rearview mirror, navigation system, and 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium sound system with a subwoofer.
Safety
Every Bronco Sport trim comes with the full set of Ford Co-Pilot technologies, which include a lane-keeping system, pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, and a blind-spot information system with cross-traffic alert. A rearview camera, roll stability control, airbag system, and lower anchors and tethers for children provide additional safety and security.
Trim Levels
Ford Bronco Sport Big Bend
The entry-level Big Bend trim offers the most affordable and core experience. To upgrade, Lakewood shoppers can purchase a Class II trailer tow package, Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+, black appearance package, black diamond graphic package, convenience package, off-road package with underbody protection, full-size spare tire, and more.
Ford Bronco Sport Heritage
The Heritage trim adds continental all-terrain tires, LED fog lights, second-row rubberized seat backs, and a four-door intelligent access system. A unique Oxford white-painted roof and plaid cloth heather navy pier seats with plaid inserts give the vehicle a trendy appearance.
Ford Bronco Sport Free Wheeling
The Free Wheeling trim has unique sunset decals and seat cloth with a safari-style two-tone black roof. It also features 17-inch ebony race red-painted wheels and an embossed steering wheel with cruise and audio controls. However, the LED fog lights are optional.
Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks
The Outer Banks trim features a remote start system, premium-trimmed seats, heated and premium-wrapped steering wheel, AC power outlets, dual-zone temperature control, and 18-inch machined-face aluminum ebony black-painted wheels.
Ford Bronco Sport Badlands
For the ultimate off-road experience, the Badlands trim features seven different terrain modes, metal bash plates, an enhanced H.O.S.S.
